TAP-EARTH is committed to restoring eco-systems which will involve planting trees, but also managing the land and ecosystem by investing in grading, ground cover, and additional plants to support and encourage wildlife. I am encouraged that so many have chosen to participate with us as we embark on expanding our efforts to have a positive impact on the environment by controlling what we can through land management and specifically planting trees. I am also happy that TAP-EARTH will match every tree purchased through March 31, 2020 doubling the investment of each of you!
I am honored so many people agree with us and have chosen a tree as a perfect memorial option or special way to honor a friend, colleague or loved one. What could be a better way to remember a loved one than providing a living gift that will have a lasting impact where it is planted as the person had a lasting impact on the hearts of those they touched? We also appreciate the opportunity to plant for those of you seeking ways to offset your carbon footprint while also restoring the forest and surrounding eco-system.
Saturday, February 8, 2020 began our planting season. Look for updates and photos as we plant strategically to impact erosion created from a surrounding commercial farming operation. In addition to planting in the Match Tract we will be seeding ground cover. During our planting process we preserved a blackberry bramble areas and I look forward to sharing photos of the wildlife enjoying that areas during the early spring and summer. I anticipate a few humans will enjoy a few wild blackberries as well! Special thanks to two volunteers who helped me with planting our first special section of trees for 2020. We represented two generations of females and were honored to remember those for whom we were planting each tree. See photos under Match Tract Project section of our website.
